Asian markets were down with the Hang Seng off sharply.

The Nikkei was down .2% to 15,855. Bridgestone was off.8% to 2420. Canon was off .2% to 5980.Casi was off 2.1% to 2595. Daiwa Securities was up 1.2% to 1234. Fuji Film was down.9% to 4460. Hitachi was down 1% to 663. Honda was down 1.7% to 3970.. NEC was down 1.3% to 543. NTT was down .2% to 577000. Sharp was down .5% to 1896. Sony was down .2% to 4560. Softbank was up 2.4% to 2370. Toshiba was down 1% to 715. Toyota was down .7% to 6830. Yahoo Japan was up 1.7% to 44400.

The Hang Seng was off 2.9% to 18,640. Cathay Pacific was down 3.4% to 18.02.China Mobile was down 4.2% to 64.5. Chin Unicom was down 3.2% to 8.95. HSBC was down 1.8% to 142.8. PCCW was down 2.5% to 5.05.

The KOSPI was off 1% to 1,411.

The Straits Times was dwon 1.7% to 2,788.

The Shanghai Composite was down .4% to 2,039.
