Markets in Europe were narrowly mixed at 6.15 AM New York time.

The FTSE was up .1% to 6,053. Barclays was was down .1% to 687.5. BP was up .8% to 575.5. BT was up .2% to 277. GlaxoSmithKline was up 1.1% to 1345. Prudential was up .3% to 649. Reuters was flat at 454.75. Unilever was flat at 1362. Vodafone was flat at 133.25.

The DAXX was down .1% to 6,290. Bayer was up .2% to 39.88. DaimlerChrysler was down .9% to 43.84. DeutscheBank was down .7% to 97.6. Deutche Telekom was up .3% to 13.43. SAP was down 1.5% to 156.11. Siemens was up .2% to 72.61.

The CAC 40 was flat at 5,308. Alcatel was up 1.5% to 10.19. AXA was up .8% to 29.02. France Telecom was down .4% to 19.64. ST Micro was up .4% to 13.96. Vivendi was flat at 28.89.
