Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose .7% to 16,638. Biidgestone was down .2% to 2835. Canon was .5% to 6470. Daiwa Securities was up .2% to 1321. Fuji Film was up .4% to 4850. Hitachi was down .4% to 695. Honda was up 1.4% to 4200. NEC was down .8% to 554. NTT was up .9% to 590000.Sharp was up 2% to 2070. Softbank was up 1.2% to 2445. Sony was up 2.1% to 4780. Toyota was up 1.3% to 7230.

The Hang Seng was off down .1% to 18,907. Cathay Pacific was down 2% to 18.8. China Mobile was up .2% to 62.95. China Unicom was up 1.3% to 9.7. HSBC was up .5% to 141. PCCW was down .4% to 4.8.

The KOPSI was down 1% to 1,377.

The Straits Times was up .4% to 2,898.

The Shanghai Composite was up 1.8% to 2,219.
