Asia markets were off with the Nikkei closed for a holiday.

The Hang Seng was off .9% to 20.030. Cathay Pacific was down 2.7% to 18.28. China Mobile was down 2.2% to 67.85. China Netcom was down 2.6% to 20.3. China Unicom was down .5% to 11.02. HSBC was down .8% to 142.2. PCCW was off .4% to 4.82.

The KOSPI was off 1.8% to 1,371.

The Straits Times was off 1% to 3000.

The Shanghai Composite was up 2.5% to 2,707.
