The 50-day spread is simply the percentage above or below the stock’s 50-day moving average and is represented by the blue lines in the charts below. The red and green horizontal lines represent the high and low extre
mes of the spread over the time period covered. We have also included the stock’s current money flows as represented by the dark red lines. Much more information can be found on our money flow analysis at Birinyi.com and by subscribing to our Mini Institutional service, but in general we are looking for a nice, solid uptrend in the money flow line along with a divergence from the stock’s price.
