Markets in Asia fell with the Nikkei off over 1%.

The Nikkei fell 1% to 17,364. Canon was down .6% to 6450. Hitachi was down 1.1% to 911. Honda was down 1.5% to 3990. NEC was down 1.2% to 642. NTT was off .5% to 611000. Docomo was off 2.4% to 204000. Softbank was off 1.8% to 2690. Sony was up 2.7% to 6510. Toyota was down 3% to 7150. Yahoo Japan was up .1% to 38450.

The Hang Seng was down .3% to 20,317. China Life was up 2% to 25.25. China Mobile was off .1% to 71.2. China Netcom was flat at 20.9. China Unicom was down 1.3% to 11.26. HSBC was up .7% to 140.9. PCCW was up .2% to 4.84.

The KOSPI was down .3% to 1,521.

The Straits Times was down .5% to 33,57.

The Shanghai Composite was down .4% to 3,619.
