Nokia (NOK) reported that its sales of handsets hit over 91 million units in the first quarter, up 21%. Price per unit dropped 13% to 89 euros as the company sold more phones in emerging markets where the revenue-per-phone tends to be lower.

In sharp contrast to rival Motorola (MOT), Nokia’s net dropped only 7% to $1.33 billion.
