Can Vonage “Text” Help?

Vonage Holdings (VG-NYSE) has gone out with yet another press release, but at least this one wasn’t claiming a win over a loss.  This actually looks pretty good, assuming they can keep customers from be scared off.  The company is offering customers the convenience of reading their voicemails anywhere, anytime, through Vonage Text which automatically transcribes voicemails to text so customers can read them right from their e-mail.

This will let customers read, store, search, and respond to their voicemail messages on their phone, laptop or mobile device and allows users to scan new messages to search for specific information within e-mail messages.

Let’s hope they own the patent on this one.
