Markets in Europe were higher at 6.25 AM New York time.

The FTSE rose .7% to 6,462. Barclays (BCS) was up .9% to 722.5. BP (BP) was .5% to 566. BT (BT) was up .5% to 317.75. Reuters (RTRSY) was down 1.8% ot 485. Vodafone (VOD) was .1% to 143.4.

The DAXX was up .4% to 7,437. DaimlerChrysler (DCX) was down .4% to 59.64. DB (DB) was down 1% to 112.13. DT (DT) was up .8% to 13.49. Siemens (SI) was up 1.1% to 90.17.

The CAC 40 was up .3% 5,980. Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) was up 1.1% to 9.8. AXA (AXA) was up .4% to 34.06. France Telecom (FTE) was down .1% to 21.57. ST Micro (STM) was down .6% to 14.32.
