Markets in Asia were mostly down.

The Nikkei fell .1% to 17,739. NTT (NTT) was off 1.9% to 605000. Sony (SNE) was off 1.5% to 6560. Softbank was off 1.7% to 2570. Toyota (TM) was down 1.8% to 7070.

The Hang Seng was down .5% to 20,738. China Life (LFC) was down .4% to 25.05. China Mobile (CHL)  was down 1.4% to 71.85. HSBC (HBC) was down .5% to 145.9. PCCW (PCW) was up .4% to 4.92.

The Shanghai Composite rose .9% to 4,050.
