Markets in Asia rose.

The Nikkei was up .7% to 17,678. Honda (HMC) rose 1.2% to 4080. KDDI rose 3.4% to 1020000. NTT (NTT) fell 6.6% to 566000. Sony (SNE) rose 1.4% to 6540. Toyota (TM) rose 2.4% to 7320.

The Hang Seng rose 2.7% to 21,015. China Life (LFC) rose 5.5% to 25.95. China Mobile (CHL) rose 4.2% to 73.9. China Petroleum (SNP) rose 8% to 7.95. HSBC (HBC) rose 1.4% to 147.1. PCCW (PCW) rose 1.4% to 5.01.

The Shanghai Composite rose .6% to 4,046.
