Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose .5% to 17,873. Japan Airlines was up 3.1% to 236. Softbank was up 2.1% to 2,690.

The Hang Seng was down .3% to 20,474, China Petroleum (SNP) was down 1% to 8.09. China Netcom (CN) was down 1% to 20.15. PCCW (PCW) was down 1% to 4.91.

The Shanghai Composite rose 1.5% to 4,335.
