Fortune magazine recently called Apple (AAPL) TV a tech dog. The publication listed four pretty damaging short-comings.
Today Apple took the somewhat challenged electronics product and said it would now stream YouTube video to TV screens.
MarketWatch wrote: "In a statement, Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said that the full YouTube catalog will be available on Apple TV in the fall."
A fair question is who would want it? A casual look at YouTube shows that the production quality of almost all of the video is pathetic. In addition, the popular videos are farting preachers and laughing babies. Viewers do need a TV to watch that.
Another consumer electronics application that almost no one needs.
