Markets in Asia were down sharply.

The Nikkei fell  2.2% to 16,476. Sony (SNE) fell 2.6% to 5520. Toyota (TM) fell 3% to 6850.

The Hang Seng fell 2.8% to 21,397. China Petroleum (SNP) fell 3.8% to 7.31. HSBC (HBC) fell 2.4% to 137.9.

The Shanghai Composite fell .1% to 4,870.
