Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei was up 1.1% to 15,901. Honda (HMC) was up 2.2% to 3870. Toyota (TM) was up 2% to 6,580.

The Hang Seng was up 1.4% to 21,907. China Life was up 4.3% to 31.5. China Petroleum (SNP) was up 2.5% to 7.49.

The Shanghai Composite rose 1% to 4,953.
