Markets in Europe were slightly higher at 6.20 AM New York time.

The FTSE rose .2% to 6,474. Barclays (BCS) fell 1.8% to 512. Rio Tinto (RTP) rose 2.1% to 4285.

The DAXX was up .4% to 7,837. BMW fell 4.4% to 42.82. Deutsche Telekom (DT) rose 1.2% to 14.08. Siemens (SI) rose 1.2% to 95.04.

The CAC 40 was up .1% to 5,691. Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) fell 1.8% to 6.11. France Telecom (FTE) rose 1.8% to 25.86.
