Markets in Asia were narrowly mixed.

The Nikkei fell .3% to 15,629. NEC (NIPNY) fell 1.9% to 509. Yahoo Japan rose 1.9% to 54300.

The Hang Seng rose .1% to 28,658. China Netcom (CN) fell 3.6% to 24. China Unicom (CHU) fell 7.9% to 16.66.

The Shanghai Composite fell.1% to 4,869.
