Markets in Asia were higher.

The Nikkei rose 1% to 12,658. NTT (NTT) was off 2% to 432000. Sony (SNE) was up 2.5% to 4490.

The Hang Seng rose .7% to 22,862. China Mobile (CHL) fell 1.3% to 109.7. Hong Kong Electric rose 3.8% to 46.2.

The Shanghai Composite was up .5% to 4,166.
