Markets in Asia were mixed.

The nikkei fell 1.3% to 13,942. Hitachi fell 2.3% to 776. KDDI fell 3.5% to 654000.

The Hang Seng rose .1% to 22,812. China Netcom (CN) fell 2.7% to 21.45. China Unicom (CHU) fell 3.1% to 14.40.

The Shanghai Composite rose 3% to 2,831.
