Lehman (LEH) Going Private?

Lehman (LEH) may find that the best way out of the painful drop in its stock is to go private. If the investment house is right and Wall St.’s perception of it is too negative, the firm may be able to find the money to end its life as a public company.

According to The New York Post, "talks internally centering on privatizing Lehman have gotten very serious consideration after a blistering onslaught of rumors and questions about the firm’s solvency."

If many traders and short sellers are right, and Lehman is on its last legs, it hardly matters.
