Markets in Asia were mostly higher.

The Nikkei rose1.6% to 13,368. Mazda rose 3.3% to 623. Nissan rose 3% to 837.

The Hang Seng rose 1.8% to 22,647. China Netcom (CN) rose 3.1% to 23.50. China Unicom (CHU) rose 3.8% to 15.94

The Shanghai Composite fell .5% to 2,837.
