Markets in Asia were down. The Nikkei was closed for a holiday.

The Hang Seng fell 3% to 19,038. Sinopec (SNP) was down 4% and Petrochina (PTR) was off over 2%.

The Shanghai Composite fell 1.5% to 2,201.
