Asia Markets 9/24/2008 (SNP)(PTR)(MS)

JapMarkets in Asia were slightly higher.

The Nikkei was up .2% to 12,225. Nomura rose more than 5%. Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group was up over 4% after buying a stake in Morgan Stanley (MS).

The Hang Seng rose .7% to 19,013. Sinopec (SNP) was up over 4% and PetroChina (PTR) up over 2%.

The Shanghai Composite was up .7% to 2,217.
