Asia Markets And Europe Open 10/22/2008

JapMarkets in Asia were sharply lower.

The Nikkei fell 6.9% to 8,675. Sony Corp (SNE) and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial dropped.

The Hang Seng fell 6.3% to 14,093.

The Shanghai Composite fell 3.2% to 1,897.

In Europe, the FTSE opened off 1.5% to 4,165. The Dax fell 1% to 4,753, and the CAC 40 was down 2.9% to 3,376.
