Re: Doug McIntyre. Why do some people such as yourself, still believe that we must pay these ludicrous salaries to these wall street "Gurus". They all helped to put the economy in the hole through greed, stupidity and sometimes outright theft (i.e. Madoff et al). Over 40,000 people lost there job on wall street last year. Don't you think there is a lot of talent out there willing to take those jobs for a whole lot less money. In case you haven't heard we are in a deep economic crisis. I and a lot of other American workers didn't cause this problem , but we being forced to deal with it. Let the wall street "Gurus" work for free until the economy gets better. See how many of them would be willing to contribute their so called valuable knowledge and expertise.

"During periods of real trouble the floundering operators cannot afford to part with their real stars." If they are real stars, why are their firms floundering? Maybe a change of management is just what these floundering firms need. Sorry, but capitalism only works if compensation has a direct and measureable correlation to performance. The "star talent" may not be responsible for all the current woes but neither are we and our tax dollars should not be used to fund huge bonuses. PERIOD.
