Markets in Asia were slightly higher.

The Nikkei rose ,5% to 8,613.

The Hang Seng rose 1.5% to 15,261.

The Shanghai Composite was up .1% to 1,977.

At the open, the FTSE was up .6% to 4,335. The Dax rose 1% to 4,776. The CAC 40 moved higher by 1.5% to 3,305.
