Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose .1% to 8,747.

The Hang Seng was up .2% to 14,205.

The Shanghai Composite was down 1.1% to 1,831.

At the open, the FTSE was up 1% to 4,259. The Dax moved up .7% to 4,560. The CAC 40 was up .8% to 3,142.
