Asia Markets And Europe Open 1/9/2008

Water_liliesMarkets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei was down .5% to 5,537.

The Hang Seng was off .1% to 14,399.

The Shanghai Composite was up 1.4% to 1,905.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down .1% to 4,499. The Dax was up .1% to 4,887. The CAC 40 was down .1% to 3,33,329.
