Stocks in Asia were mixed

The Nikkei fell 1.5% to 7,874.

The Hang Seng dropped 3.6% to 12,813.

The Shanghai Composite was up 1.1% to 2,012.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down .8% to 4,115. The Dax was off 1.1% to 4,291. The CAC 40 fell 1.4% to 2,932.
