Markets in Asia were mostly lower.

The Nikkei fell 1.6% to 8,708.

The Hang Seng was down .6% to 15,117.

The Shanghai Composite fell .6% to 2,449.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was up .9%. The Dax was up .4% to 4,554, and the CAC 40 rose .5% to 3,023.
