Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose .2% to 8,728.

The Hang Seng fell 2.3% to 14,907.

The Shanghai Composite was off 1.8% to 2,405.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down 1.1%. The Dax fell 1.3% to 4,616, and the CAC 40 dropped 1.7% to 3,052.
