Markets in Asia rallied and Japan was closed for a holiday.

The Hang Seng was up 4.8% to 16,290.

The Shanghai Composite was up 3.2% to 2,560.

In Europe, UK markets were closed. The Dax was up .6% to 4,837. The CAC 40 rose .4% to 3,180.
