Markets in Asia were higher.

The Nikkei rose 1.8% to 9,266.

The Hang Seng was up 1.8% to 16,945.

The Shanghai Composite rose .2% to 2,645.

In Europe, at the open, the FTSE was up .4% to 4,380. The Dax rose .3% to 4,750 and the CAC 40 was up .5$ to 3,171.
