Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei was up .3% to 9,704.

The Hang Seng dropped 2.8% to 18,381.

The Shanghai Composite rose .1% to 2,724.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down 1.2% to 4,451. The Dax fell .6% to 5,111. The CAC 40 dropped .8% to 3,351.
