Markets in Asia were lower.

The Nikkei fell .8% to 9,669.

The Hang Seng was off 1.3% to 18,343.

The Shanghai Composite was down .4% to 2,787.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was up .5% to 4,447. The Dax rose .3% to 5,071 and the CAC 40 was up .5% to 3,325.
