Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose 1% to 9,766.

The Hang Seng was up .1% to 18,516.

The Shanghai Compsite fell .5% to 2,754.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was up .8%. The Dax rose .8% to 5,201. The CAC was up 1% to 3,346.
