Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose .2% to 10,375. Toyota (TM) reported better than expected earnings.

The Hang Seng fell .1% to 20,792. HSBC (HBC) rose on good numbers.

The Shanghai Composite rose .3% to 3,471.

At the open in Europe. the FTSE was down .4% to 4,662. The Dax dropped .5% to 5,403 and the CAC 40 fell .2%.
