Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Hang Seng rose .3% to 21,546. Sinopec (SNP) rose.

The Shanghai Composite was down 2.3% to 2,898.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE rose .6% to 5,164. Rio Tinto (RTP) was up sharply. The Dax was up .7% to 5,708. The CAC 40 moved higher by .6% to 3,837.
