Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei rose .8% to 9,892.

The Hang Seng was down .2% to 21,448.

The Shanghai Composite rose 4.8% to 2,912. PetroChina rose (PTR) and HSBC (HBC) fell.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down .2% to 5,148. Tha Dax fell .1% to 4,709 and the CAC 40 fell .1%
