Market in Asia were up with Japan closed for a holiday

The Hang Seng rose 1.4% to 22,773.

The Shanghai Composite was up .9% to 3,339.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was up 1.3% to 5,317. The Dax rose 1.4% to 5,775. and the CAC 40 was up 1.4% to 3,782.
