GM China Sales May Pass US For First Time

Print Email

GM reports that the company and its joint ventures sold 177,339 vehicles in China in November, an increase of 110%. GM’s sales in the US were down by a third in the first three quarters of this year and showed very little sign of recovery in October.

GM’s sales in China may have topped those in the US for the first time last month. Edmunds has estimated the domestic sales of the No.1 American car company fell just over 1% in November to 155,000 units.

The US is not GM’s “home market” any more.
