Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei fell 1.4% to 9,863.

The Hang Seng fell .2% to 21,692.

The Shanghai Composite rose .5% to 3,254.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was up .1% to 5,208. The Dax was up .1% to 5,656. The CAC 40 rose .1% to 3,761.
