Markets in Asia were mixed.

The Nikkei fell .9% to 10,545. JAL fell sharply again on bankruptcy fears.

The Hang Seng was off a small fraction to 21,496. China Life (NYSE:LFC) dropped.

The Shanghai Composite was up 1.7% to 3,263.

At the open in Europe, the FTSE was down .1% to 5,430. The Dax .2% to 5,597. The CAC 40 dropped .1% to 3,599.
