The government may have filed civil actions against The Goldman Sachs Group (NYSE: GS) and criminal charges may be coming. The bank also disclosed in its 10-Q that the feds could force it to suspend some of its businesses.

But, the Goldman money machine may have posted its best quarter ever according to the filing.

The company did not lose money on a single trading day during the period.
