The economy has begun to show signs of life, at least in Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Federal Reserve said:
“Results from the Business Outlook Survey suggest that regional manufacturing activity showed improvement in November. All of the survey’s broad indicators of economic performance showed improvement from their reading in October, and firms reported an increase in employment and work hours.”
As the companies surveyed looked out six month, there were sanguine:
“The future general activity index increased 8 points, to a reading of 49.0, its highest reading in eight months.”
There may have been other reports on improvements in the economy during the last month, but this has to be the most broad in scope and the nature of the number of economic measurements that show improvement
