A brief note about the seesaw scientific and medical debate over whether cellphone use causes cancer. A new study from the International Commission for Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection Standing Committee on Epidemiology says not.

“Although there remains some uncertainty, the trend in the accumulating evidence is increasingly against the hypothesis that mobile phone use can cause brain tumours in adults,” the groups reported recently. That should be a comfort for the billions of people who have been using cellphones since they were introduced a decade and a half ago.
