The company reported:

Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.

Attempted access to Twitter gets the following response:

Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing–we’re going to fix it and things will be back to normal soon.
