Consolidated Edison Inc, commonly known as ConEd, is a major utility company serving New York City and its surrounding areas. It provides electric power to over 3.7 million customers and natural gas to about 1.3 million customers across regions including Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, and Westchester County. Additionally, ConEd delivers steam services to parts of Manhattan and operates a network of electric and gas transmission facilities. Founded in 1823, ConEd is one of the oldest and largest utility companies in the United States, focusing on reliable energy delivery and infrastructure development.
