Samsung Wants To Double Sales

If the past is an indication, there products will  sell millions of units in the first quarter they are out, which will hurt Samsung’s goals.

Samsung is also up against desperate competition in Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM), Nokia (NASDAQ: NOK), HTC, LG, and Motorola Mobility (NYSE: MMI). Each of these firms is bound to cut price to get share, which will be another challenge to Samsung and its profitability in the smartphone market

According to Bloomberg

Samsung, which shipped about 97 million smartphones last year, plans to introduce a successor to the Galaxy S II in the first half of the year and other models later, the company said in an e-mailed statement today. Suwon, South Korea-based Samsung didn’t disclose data for tablet sales and the 2012 target
