After a busy weekend of pounding the pavement in search of bargains, shoppers are expected to be pounding their keyboards today in search of online bargains. Here’s what Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE: WMT) is promoting on its homepage at about 7:30 a.m. ET this morning:

Free shipping is at the top of the list, for shipment to a customer’s local store for pickup and on some orders of more than $45.

Click the “Shop Now” button and the first four items for sale are an iPod Touch from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) for $179, including a “bonus accessory kit”; a 32-inch LCD HDTV for $189; a 7-inch WiFi-enabled tablet for $59; and an Xbox 360 from Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ: MSFT) for $159.

A link to a selection of children’s toys, grouped by ages, is next on the homepage. Then video game value bundles, “special buys” in electronics, and, finally, clothing.

The new Wii U game console from Nintendo is advertised at $89, and is out of stock at our local store, but available by December 3 for in-store pick up if purchased online today. The Wii U is not linked from the homepage.
